Cookies for the Ice Box

What you'll need:

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup white sugar

1 egg (beaten)

1t vanilla

1/2 cup of nuts (optional)

2 cups of flour

1/2t of salt

2t of baking powder

Cream together butter & brown sugar. Then add the remaining items. Turn dough into a log roll and wrap with wax paper and chill overnight. Makes 4 dozen

Bake 10 mins at 350 degrees.
